Visual Texture Assignment

This assignment focused on creating the illusion of texture using implied line. Instead of outlining objects, I used dots, hatch marks, and other small marks to suggest surface texture and detail within the interior rendering.

Shape Assignment

This assignment explored negative space within the same interior photograph used for the Line Assignment. By tracing and cutting out the negative shapes, the project emphasized how empty areas and openings contribute to balance, composition, and spatial understanding.

Line Assignment —

This project focused on identifying and tracing the major lines found within an interior space. The goal was to observe how line creates structure, movement, and visual direction in a room by outlining architectural edges, furniture contours, and built‑in features.

Scale Assignment

For this project, I selected a multi‑color textile and rendered it onto a chair at its original scale using a 2” grid. I then doubled the scale of the pattern and rendered it again using a 4” grid to demonstrate how scale affects visual impact, proportion, and pattern placement.
